SCIENTIFIC RATIONALE: Inherited Retinal Diseases represent a heterogeneous group of disorders characterised by photoreceptor degeneration or dysfunction, tipically resulting in the progressive deterioration of vision and, potententially, in blindness. The clinical and genetic heterogeneity can make a correct diagnosis challenging. An appropriate and updated knowledge of the available retinal imaging and functional tests as well as of the advances in genetics, and molecular biology is crucial to optimize patients’ management.
